Yay, with the perfect weather I was hoping for (the trees full of fresh snow and a nice continuous snow fall) the whole group (Giulia, Simona, Cassy, Arianna, Tessa and her dad) finally reached the summit. Chasseral West is, lets put it nicely, not really a prominent summit, in fact it is just a secondary summit of the Casseral, which is just over the cantonal border. But still we had lots of fun and a really
Finally yesterday I had an amazing powder in Wengen :) But today it's another story, the Jura got some snow too an it seems will get more tonite... And we'll be there! At 15.30 I met Simona and Giulia in Le Launderon for trying the Chasseral Ouest for the canton Neuchatel probably under a nice snowfall
A bit longer than expected, well ok I did have some nice long breaks but all in all it went well. In about 9.30 hours I was back at the Rhine river and although it was mostly downhill, I was soaked wet... from the fog :) A really nice day With Tessa and Fulvio from icebergfilm.ch that did all they could to follow me and find me after I took bike only shortcuts :) Definitely
Wow what a nice feeling, summit and wonderful weather after starting in the crappiest fog ever!!! The ride was cool, first it was sooo foggy that it was actually "raining", then I was suddenly surprised by an airbus alnding 50m fom me, then exiting the fog to a beautiful day and finally confirming my small mountains complex theory... the craziest steep road E-V-E-R!!! but what a view now
So after a wonderful drive down from home passing from a wonderfully foggy walensee I m finally at the lowest point of kanton Zürich... and guess what I'm in thick thick fog ;) Bérna on the

After the light lunch we thought a nice run would be good, so we run down to our bikes in snow and mud with only one little fall. Once on the bikes, we went full speed back to the car trying to get there before night fall. Funny enough 500m before the car we reached Chiara and Mauro that had been cruising back from their SchniPo (wiener schitzel with fries). Was really cool to be
The "Small mountains'" paradox stays strong, Zugerberg the big bike climb of today featured over 600m of altitude gain in just over 6km for nice average steepness of 10%!! but really a nice climb, and really super beautiful the high plain at the top. Only drawback were the million peoples up there escaping the town's fog. After a nice flattish ride in stunning landscapes we finally arrived to Alpli, the end of the bike part.
